Jeff Behrens is a serial entrepreneur who most recently sold LabShares Newton, an incubator for biotech startups.
Formerly, was President and CEO of Siamab Therapeutics, a therapeutics company focused on developing antibody-based drugs for cancer treatment that was sold to Seagen (Pfizer) in 2019. Previously, Jeff also served as founding CEO of Gel MEDIX, an ophthalmology drug delivery startup and worked at Edimer Pharmaceuticals (funded by Third Rock Ventures), Alnylam and Biogen Idec, where he co-founded Biogen’s Innovation Incubator.
In 2003 sold his healthcare IT company, The Telluride Group, to Mind SHIFT Technologies, a Fidelity-funded rollup that was subsequently purchased by BestBuy. Jeff has a PhD from EPFL (Lausanne, Switzerland), a Masters from the Harvard/MIT Division of Health Sciences and Technology (HST), and an MBA from MIT Sloan.
He is a lecturer at MIT and led a graduate course, HST590, for over a decade.
